About the Department

The Department of Botany currently offers undergraduate subjects in Botany Major and General  for the course of B.Sc.,  started its journey in the year 2006 (against intake capacity of 15 students) in B.Sc. General course. In the year 2008, Honours course was introduced with intake capacity of 10 students along with General course of 35 intake capacity. The subject’s intake capacity was increased to 33 for Major and 45 for General course.This department is established to pursue higher education in the field of Botanical sciences. Credit based Choiced System implemented for the Six-semester degree programmes for both Major and general subjects introduced from the Academic Session 2014-15.
